We’re seeking to fill a position for an Account Support Specialist to better support our growing B2B/wholesale business.

What you'd be doing:

  • Working alongside our customer service team; answering phone calls and emails from our wholesale customers
  • Helping put orders into our system
  • Supporting our sales team with various after-sales tasks
  • Serving as a point of contact for larger customers
  • Maintaining compliance with the requirements of our distributors
  • Inputting information into our distributors’s product information and order systems
  • Working with our Operations team (inventory processing, shipping, quality control) to fulfill orders for wholesale customers
  • Dealing with special requirements from customers and distributors as needed

  • Excellent spreadsheet skills
  • Systematic thinker; able to recognize how things could be done better and able to make improvements
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Self-starter; able to pick up new things quickly and figure out the best way to do them without much help
  • Flexibility and adaptability; there will be a fair amount of random tasks to be done.
  • Previous experience interfacing with customers is preferred

Examples of what a typical day might look like:

  • Answering emails from customers; helping them find products, setup returns and answer general questions.
  • Providing a quote to a customer wanting to buy a case of tools.
  • Submitting an order into our system that requires having the kitting team make additional product, which may require you talking to the kitting team about when they could do that and update the customer on the timing. Then, following up to make sure the order was fulfilled later.
  • Filling out a distributor’s spreadsheet with our product information.
  • Updating a distributor’s portal with new product specifications for a toolkit we updated recently.
  • Emailing a new customer who recently signed up for a wholesale account to see if you can help with anything.
  • Giving a high-five (after COVID passes) to the shipper who shipped a big order the other day.
  • Emptying the dishwasher in the kitchen (we all do our part to help keep the kitchen clean!)

This is a full-time hourly position located in California at the iFixit headquarters in San Luis Obispo or well qualified remote candidates will be considered as well.
