We're looking for a talented and creative person to help manage iFixit’s whitelabel program and third-party tool resale program. As a product manager, you'll be working alongside the engineering and procurement teams to seek out new repair product opportunities and creative branding strategies.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Understand and identify the needs of the consumer electronics repair industry and procure tools to help individuals accomplish those repairs
  • Promote and help establish the iFixit tool brand as a worldwide repair authority
  • Write detailed product proposals, specifications, and sourcing documents for whitelabel and re-sale products.
  • Support product lifecycles
  • Collaborate across departments

Before applying you should possess:

  • Familiarity with the needs of the consumer repair industry
  • Experience in sourcing and whitelabling product
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Experience negotiating pricing and terms
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills

Candidates get bonus points for the following:

  • Experience with product lifecycles, BOM management, revisions
  • Skills with MySQL and databases
  • Hands-on experience with tools and repair

This position can be fulfilled 80% remote, but will require regular presence at our headquarters in San Luis Obispo, CA. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
