Job Description

As an Inventory Associate, you’ll be responsible for handling, preparing, and organizing incoming inventory. This is a fast-paced job and Inventory Processing Associates spend their day on a wide range of tasks, including inspecting parts, labeling, packaging products into repair kits, and stocking shelves.

As part of this position, you report directly to Inventory Processing Manager and will assist other members of the operations team in maintaining and utilizing proper inventory management practices throughout the warehouse.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembling product kits to maintain warehouse inventory levels.
  • Processing incoming inventory shipments, including product quality control testing.
  • Keeping the warehouse and kitting area clean, organized and stocked.
  • Assist with other areas of Operations as necessary or directed.
  • Help iFixit change the world forever.
  • Contribute to, and keep up with, our rapid-paced environment.
  • Win the hearts and souls of the world over to repair.
  • Maintain our high quality standards with an obsessive attention to detail.
  • Being awesome.

You will be expected to:

  • Create and maintain a work schedule, and communicate with the team before changing the schedule or missing scheduled work.
  • Track and be accountable for hours worked and tasks accomplished.
  • Communicate clearly, think creatively and incisively, ask questions, and be conscientious of others.
  • Interface and occasionally assist with other departments.

Qualifications

Warehouse experience is a plus—but no experience is necessary. We’re happy to train the right candidate. The ability to learn quickly and remember details is required. Integrity, reliability, respect for your fellow team members, and attention to detail are also a must.

This position is located at our San Luis Obispo headquarters. We are looking to fill a position effective immediately, working part-time 20-25 hours per week or full-time at 40 hours a week will be considered. Scheduling is flexible—though we do require any shift to be at least 3 hours, and scheduled between 8 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
